i don't support hunger.

Good morning, my loves, I apologize for being so absent yesterday--I had an unfortunate case of food poisoning that left me without an appetite, among other uncomfortable symptoms. But enough about me, for this post is not leading in the direction of honoring your hunger nor of leaving deprivation behind... quite the contrary actually. Today I would like to focus solely on malnutrition and children. Children who must live with always live with a painfully large appetite but whose bodies have otherwise forgotten how it feels to be hungry because actually being able to eat is such a rare occasion. These children don't just want food, they need it, to grow and develop both mentally and physically.

I have had the amazing opportunity to team up with the United Nations World Food Programme, the largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide, in a campaign known as Bloggers Against Hunger. Once a month I will be informing you, and myself, about global malnutrition and what we can do to change it. Please watch the following video:

In just two minutes, two minutes, I know that I'm already incredibly moved. To my fellow bloggers, I hope that you will link to this post to spread the word. To my readers, I hope that you will share it on Facebook, Twitter, or another social media platform that you find yourself frequenting. And to everyone, please, please, please click on the widget on the side and donate as little or as much as you can to this amazing cause. I truly believe that with the knowledge from the tools provided each one of us will be able to positively impact the world. Thank you so much and feel free to submit any comments or questions you may have below or via email.
