fingers crossed

Hello my dears. It saddens me to say that I won't be posting for a while. If you haven't noticed already I've lost about 400 of blog posts of photographs, of trips, of international eats, of passing thoughts, and of small yet wonderful memories that I may not be able to get back. Blogger is not letting me re-import anything, nor is wordpress, and although I do have the template file on my desktop, I cannot seem to get anything to read it. If anyone has any advice or tips to offer it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise, please think of me :(.

  4. EEK that's awful, I'm SO sorry. But most of the time this stuff is backed up SOMEWHERE on the Internet, the issue is just being able to find it. Get someone who knows computers to help you out stat!

  5. Danielle- i'm so sorry about all of this! But...are you aware that google reader is republishing quite a bit of your old stuff? I got like 5 or 6 posts this morning that you wrote last year. I figured it out yesterday, but it's been a little confusing to say the least!

  6. Oh no, good luck. I'm SO terrified of something like this happening to me, but I'm not sure of how to back all of my posts up. My google reader shows this post for you, and then after that it shows at least 10 posts from spring/summer. Maybe it will all come back?

  7. Leslie: It’s a bug within Blogger but I still have all the information. In the mean time, I’m trying to manually put everything back in… might take me years ;) thanks for the support! See you Thursday ☺

    Diana: You got that right.

Jenngirl: Thanks, I think I might have to do it all myself but as long as I can get it back.

Livinghealthyintherealworld: I’ve spoken with quite a few people and unfortunately there’s not much I can do because the file is too big. I might just have to re-post everything, thankfully I have it in HTML format.

Whitney: Sorry for the confusion! I’m actually doing it myself but I will try not to publish the posts until I finish, which will probably take me two weeks at least. Hope to be back to blogging new posts soon!

Louisianagrown: Thanks, I exported the file before the devastating changes so thankfully I had it. As I told Whit, I was doing those myself but I’m working on it little by little. One day you’ll wake up and Around the World in 340 Days will have 400 “new” posts. My apologies in advance ;)
